Bergamot Essential Oil (citrus aurantium bergamia) is a Young Living single essential oil from the citrus family. Citrus oils are cold pressed from the rind. Use caution when applying to sun exposed areas as photosensitivity can occur. Bergamot might seem familiar to you as it is responsible for giving Earl Grey tea its distinct flavor. Bergamot was first made popular in some of the first genuine colognes. This would be a great essential oil to try in your DIY deodorant, soaps and lotions. It has also been used for years for skin support regimens and for skin protection. The aroma of this essential oil is calming and therefore, helps to ease bouts of occasional anxiousness and blues by helping to improve the mood. It is also helpful for improving agitation. It may help to support a restful night sleep. It can also support the digestion system because of its stimulating effects and may also help with occasional constipation.
